A Lake Monster that is drawing comparisons to the iconic Loch Ness Monster of Scotland, has reportedly been spotted by locals in a reservoir that neighbors a massive dam, according to the Mirror.
Now, police and authorities are on the hunt for the monster that has reportedly been spotted by locals swimming in the deep waters of the lake. Attention ramped up when a photograph, said to be the monster swimming in the lake, hit social media following it being posted to a local town hall website.
In the photo you can see a dark body, which could appear to be a fin, or something emerging from the waters of the Madin Dam Basin, prompting local town hall officials in the city of Atizapan de Zaragoza, in the Mexican state of Mexico, to order police to patrol the lake looking to get to the bottom of the sightings by locals.
“This fact adds to comments from residents of Atizapan, who assure that a dinosaur lives at the bottom of the dam, which protects the place” Atizapan Town Hall said in a statement shared by local media. “At the request of the citizens, the government of Atizapan de Zaragoza will carry out patrols around the place to clear up the mystery.”
